this whole blogging for mcom assignment kind of does its own work because i blog for fun and i have blog prompts for other classes. however, i would like to rant and try out a "writing just to write" blog post like fellow classmates do.
don't be deceived by the fact i am writing this post for a class, this is not a post you will want to miss. especially if you hate me. if you hate me, you will think of this post as karma.
mornings are not my forte. in fact, i hate them. when do you want to get out of bed? sadly, few mornings are exciting enough to motivate me to pop out of bed. for this reason i am a believer in the snooze button and multiple alarms.
of all days of the week, monday mornings are the worst. but then add a monday morning after a holiday break.. now that's just miserable. that was today.
i went to bed at 3 am (sorry mom) because i was up late finishing a presentation. being the excellent student i am, i did not skip my first class. being the lazy person i am, i did not charge my phone because my cord was packed away somewhere (..it ended up being in my backpack that was two feet away from me.) anyways, i'll spare you the details and get to the point.
i set my alarm and placed my phone on my windowsill. when it went off this morning and i attempted to press snooze, somehow it ended up falling to the corner of our room underneath my bed. my alarm continued going off, and of course it was one of the most annoying rings of all time. at first i didn't know where my phone had fallen, but when i figured it out i tried all angles possible to get it. from the side on the ground, above it on my bed, etc. i tried to move my bed frame so i could reach it but lets face it- i'm a wimp. and my desk and dresser was in the way. keep in mind that alarm is still going off. finally i forfeit and accept the fact i am going to have to get under my bed to reach it. not that big of a deal, right? wrong. i had to take everything out from under my bed- my storage bins, suitcase, and shoes. then i had to crawl underneath my bed and then in between my dresser (which is under my bed, thank goodness for my tiny liberty square room!) and wall. don't forget, the alarm is still going off.
one of the best things that happened this morning was shutting off that alarm and the noise stopped.
with a feeling of defeat i went right back into bed and snuggled in my sheets for an extra ten minutes. i felt i deserved this after the morning i had already had.
hah! That has happened to me before. I share the same problem as you Ash. It is so hard for me to get up every day. haha
