a little piece of home.

how cute is this family? do i look like i could fit in? i feel like i do. they are my second family. the hemmingsen's. friday, i'm being studious in the library when randomly my phone notifies me that elizabeth hemmingsen has checked in at BYU. say what? elizabeth hemmingsen should be in south dakota in school right now. i instantly start freaking out. how could she check in at BYU when she's in south dakota. i comment multiple times on her "facebook check in". i text her. i text my family. EVERYONE IS IGNORING ME. so that sucks. and i'm supposed to be going to take a test, but i know something is up, but i need to concentrate, but i'm struggling. anyways. i push on. i go take my test and i go home hoping elizabeth is waiting for me.. but she's not. then i find out that i did have two blond girls stop by, but they didn't want me to know that. anyways. the day continues and finally i have a knock on my door and i have the whole hemmingsen family, plus another girl from my old ward that goes to UVU, at my door. pure joy :) it was SO great to see them. i didn't forget about them, but i forgot that sense of comfortableness (is that a word?) and just home. ah. i love them.
we chatted a bit, then they left elizabeth to me :) she had already had an official campus tour earlier in the day, but i took her on my version with all my favorite buildings and spots. it was so fun! she's kinda a mini me. hopefully in a good way. she's like my little sister, but still a best friend but at the same time we have so much in common. the things i did in high school i just left up to her when i left. i knew my committees, etc were in good hands :)

one spot we went to was the top of the jfsb. love. (ehemm in the middle, caroline aka UVU'er on the left.)

then we went to the football game! she fit right in with our group and school. she's a natural coug. hopefully she'll be here in a couple years. and we won! so can't go wrong with that! oh yeah. and she saw jimmer. so she got the full BYU experience.

i can't forget to mention claire, the youngest hemmingsen. it's a strong possibility she will be my sister-in-law some day. weird? kinda yes. but her and my little brother sam are in love. they've already kissed, but then again claire is already a heart breaker so he has a lot of competition.
