This is a benefit dinner and silent auction our HS Student Council is organizing with the help of the local fire department, news station, Coke bottling company, etc. Our football coach has a serious medical condition that requires expensive medical treatment.

Coach Jund is just a teacher, as well as his wife. They have young childern, and not to mention South Dakota is ranked last based on teacher salary. This does not make for an easy ride.

The event is on a Sunday, making it difficult for me, so I decided my contribution would be through advertising. Facebook groups, mass emails, flyers, and banners are all in the works.

Student Council is something that has really kept me sane through these four years. I love putting all I've got into a project and getting a worthwhile outcome. It definitely allows for a sense of accomplishment and its great to see our school and community come together for events like this.
